ACADEMICS
Within the broad framework of the school curriculum, a multi –dimensional approach makes the learning process effective and enjoyable. This makes learning an enjoyable experience and provides a strong foundation for further development. Progress of a student is evaluated through a continuous assessment programme.
The Primary School students are gradually introduced to a more formal pattern of learning. A flexible syllabus provides scope for originality and creativity, while emphasis is laid on the understanding of the subject matter. Progress of a student is determined by his/her performance in the Unit Tests and Terminal Examinations.
The students of the Middle School are trained to follow the syllabus prescribed by the state Board of Tamil Nadu. The mid-term tests help them cope with the increasing volume of portions. Progress is determined by the student’s performance in all the Three Terminal Examinations.
At the High School and Higher Secondary levels, academics are more exam-oriented. This prepares the students to face the Board Examinations and other competitive examinations with confidence.
LANGUAGES
Students have the choice of a second language only in the Higher Secondary where they can choose either Tamil or French. For all other classes Tamil is compulsory as second language

VALUE EDUCATION
Value Education forms an integral part of the curriculum, with emphasis on the development of life skills. The value based morning assemblies help the students imbibe values and principles which will help them grow into responsible, humane and loving human beings.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Learning becomes enjoyable when it is supported by activities that not only stimulate the mental faculties, but also build up the self-esteem of the students. The teacher facilitates active participation of the students through project works, seminars, interactive class room teaching, field trips and excursions. All of these generate excitement and interest in the students for acquiring knowledge.
CAREER GUIDANCE
Talks on career guidance for Stds. X and XII provide information on the various career opportunities. The students receive valuable guidance from resource persons on important issues such as aptitude, choice of subjects at the Higher Secondary level and consequent college education. An awareness of the changing scenario in national and global trends helps them to integrate their ideas, aspirations and values.
FOUR HOUSES
The students have been allotted to Four Houses, GAFFNEY, GAYNOR, CARROLL, HOGAN. These Four Houses have been named after four pioneer Patrician Brothers.
They are. Rev. Bro. Germanus Michael Gaffney (1887 - 1941), Rev. Bro. Mathew Stephen Gaynor (1877 - 1943) , Rev. Bro. Enda John Carroll (1906 - 1942) , Rev. Bro. Aloysius Michael Hogan (1844 - 1896).
